A great video on the decision-making that goes into designing pages of a magazine.
With that, the first video enters nimbupani domain!

I stumbled across IttyBiz blog two weeks ago. Naomi Dunford (a “word nerd”) writes in a way that is entirely unique - full of humor and completely making sense (it is very hard to do both!). Recently, she wrote Marketing School: What The Hell Is Branding? which sent shivers down my spine (in a good way).
A brand does not convey ability. It’s not supposed to. A brand is supposed to convey consistency.
Do you know why CD cases are smaller than the DVD cases? Or why milk packets are square while soft drinks are in round containers? Or why you dont get taxis when it is raining (its not what you think is the reason)?

I spoke about it 2 months ago when I asked Michael Smith of Opera about Firebug and what they have to offer. He did tell me that they are going to have something that solves the same problems like firebug within “this year” (2007) - i had no idea it could happen so soon!
Anyways, all you web developers - please download this: Opera and then get this: Opera Developer Console
Of course, it is all quite shaky still (bad UI and all that). But, I am glad, they have come out with it - soon I can get rid of Firefox forever :)
Just a quick entry to note that one of the sites I have designed (SAP Professionals.org) has been selected as one of the “beautiful sites” by Daily Slurp. YAY!
This is my second theme for Drupal (the first was for an intranet) and I am just amazed at how easy it is to theme a mammoth like Drupal!
Finally completed my illustration. Here it is: Retro Love
Thursday was the last day to redeem my $100 Starhub voucher to buy mobile phones, and just as fortunately, Deepak lost the ugly sony ericsson he had (gathering showers of blessings in the process for losing a phone that looks fitting only in a garbage bin) and so I, generously went with him to get a phone from my $100 voucher.
As usual, I couldnt take my eyes off the V3 Pink. And miraculously, I had enough sense to ask for the price with my current plan and the voucher. It was $98.
Dreams come true. Now.
An awesome discussion on the typographic bungling of Lost is on at Typophile. The discussion also veers towards the signs used in Lost.
I didnt notice it much, but it is so weird that atleast three different typefaces are used for the title! Aick.
While I was drowning in work, I got this sticker in my mail day before. A few seconds of humour in the sea of “busy”ness.
Meanwhile, I forgot to announce our temporary lodger Jace, who is temporarily camping at ashwink’s room for a week before he heads back home!
Also, my dear fridge has broken down, hours after I got groceries to stock up the fridge. I am having a hard time recollecting my mum’s advice on fridge-less existence and storage of food. I do not see a point to living a life without a fridge :)
I have been hearing a lot about metadata ever since Flickr became the next best thing after scrambled eggs. The consistent refrain is a question on how seamless it can get. The past few years we have seen a consolidation and clear market leaders emerging on the internet which then led to the next challenge how to manage the data associated with them?
