Thanks for not being anonymous :)

aha!so the “well-being of the world” in fact refers to the well being of U.S. Yeah, its a folly that most countries have committed. But true, it can’t be denied that if U.S falls now (as in, within this year) then the whole world might collapse.

Well being of the world” US interests wrt security will be fulfilled only if the arab world and specifically the muslim world stops hating the US, no better way to achieve this than liberating oppressed people.
If the US economy has a cold, the world has pneumonia, rewind to 2000/01/02. Investor psyche closely related to happenings in Washington.

Dear Uncle Sam
Firstly, you should post this to the relevant article and not to an entry like THIS!

Secondly, I havent taken any stance as yet. I am just pointing out to some very thought provoking articles on U.S Invasion of Iraq, which the main stream readers would have definitely missed.

Thirdly, I disagree with the “well being of the whole world”. No nation, in its right mind, can think of the “well being of the whole world” first and its own interests second. The timing of Iraq’s war seems very significant in this context.

Finally, if you wish to defend U.S, please do so publicly and not anonymously.

regarding your anti US comments, if the US had not over thrown saddam, who would’ve? Is the average Iraqi better off w/o saddam, you bet. Try talking to Iraqi commoners, not thru the media, but directly. To get rid of a demon, one sometimes has to do things that are not always appealing to everyone.
Almost all developing nations in the world talk, seldom act on key global issues, at the end of the day the US has to take a stance for the well being of the whole world. The US economy is not as it should be, but that is a diff issue.
