Maths is Fun

My dad has a yellowing mathematics book written by a USSR mathematician. And the problems were amazing and very interesting. But I guess I was slightly too late in realising it. Anyways, Brad is definitely going to ensure his kids know it much earlier than I did!

Read and have fun!

Rightly said V
Most of the books that I had used for JEE preparations had the trademark MIR publications.

Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, all were Russian books.

With such talent, wondering what happened to that country.

And got bored of the Mac Mini????

There was this book by an author named Yakov Perelman or smth which containted some really nice puzzles like this. One of the best math book I ve read :-)
But some books can be extremely theoretical and menacing!

True. Not only in maths, there are books in Physics that are also exceptional. Thanks to pre-russian days. If you are interested, You should check out all the books by MIR publications.

Hehe, my dad had those books from the 70s =) I think India and USSR were much closer than we think they were ;-)

Howdy there! All well? Good. Nice to see you all smiling and carefree! Ok, formalities over!
Some years back and I mean around the time the USSR broke up, a lot of such books were available in the footpath stalls around MGRoad, Blore. These days, I don’t see too many of them. But the ones I saw gave me a bad headache..those days, I could hardly add 2 + 2, you see! :)
