Nimbupani Designs

Some changes and new links!

The front page has gone through a mini two-day redesign. The interesting thing about the redesign is that I went through with it after consulting my google clicks overlay map and other statistics that Google Analytics provides.

Most people almost never clicked on my artworks, so out it goes. Also the contact form served only as a honeypot for all spammers, so it disappears as well. My old anti-spam measure is back in, till I figure out a more effective contact form.

Galleries Galore

I submitted my site, on a whim, to the cream of the CSS design showcase sites about two months ago.

Its here!

The portfolio page which has been a year in the making - is finally here!

Nimbupani Version 3.0

After two weeks of dilly dallying, I finally managed to finish up the redesign that I have been itching to do for the past two months. The colophon gives you an idea of the technical aspects of redesign.

As you can see all the categories have vanished for good. They didnt make sense anyway. I am proud of the use of php and css for the active links that you see on the left, possibly I might even write down a tutorial!

Quick Links Feed

After reading Andy Budd I was all the more tempted to try del.icio.us. So I registered and created an account. I then poked around a bit to find out how I can post the del.icio.us links to my website. Found an awesome article by Jeff Veen, and voila!

Some Small Changes

Updated my about page to reflect my new graduated status and reason why I advocate gay marriages - for those innocent (?) curious souls, no, I am not gay.

Its there

Yup, Scoble sports my design. But it kinda looks werid in moz/firefox, but I have sent Robert Scoble the fix.

Are there any human values left?

Iran executes a sixteen year old girl and hindus and muslims fight at the drop of the hat. Where, where are the famed human values? Why doesnt U.S attack these perparators of human rights violation?

Why passwords are worthless

The Register is reporting that office workers are willing to give away their passwords for a cheap pen! Sigh, until there is a change in people’s attitude, security will remain one big mirage.

When gays marry

Dan Savage writes a very insightful article on how the sanctity of marriage is violated when gay men marry women. There is no law prevent them from being married and being gay at the same time (as the recent scandal showed). Why not lift the ban on gay marriage and prevent such mockery of marriages (if that is the aim of the “ban on gay marriage”)?
