Nimbupani Designs

Nimbupani Version 3.0

After two weeks of dilly dallying, I finally managed to finish up the redesign that I have been itching to do for the past two months. The colophon gives you an idea of the technical aspects of redesign.

As you can see all the categories have vanished for good. They didnt make sense anyway. I am proud of the use of php and css for the active links that you see on the left, possibly I might even write down a tutorial!

I also used Rounded Corners for the rounded rectangle you see. It isnt perfect. No solution suited my requirements well as my design does not have a plain background like the rest of the solutions.

As of now, the site is compliant with XHTML 1.0 strict, CSS and Section 508. Hopefully, the validable plugin I downloaded for Movable Type will help to keep it so forever.

Nice design, a bit Vanilla Coke-ish.

Nan dear…you sure of which IE you using? I have IE 6 at home and office, both look okay to me!

Hmm…

Kinda liked the old one better. But i know how much you adore retro stuff… :) And I don’t have anything against this design.

Good going. And it’s only slightly bad in IE6 - rounded corners lose a bit of their effect because of an extra bit of white space showing up beside them.

Awesome job in general. Can I send work your way? You’ll get paid for it - people have been asking me to do their sites and I’ve been having to tell them I’m not really totally experienced in this stuff.

Simple and neat design..Kinda gives a 3 D look to me. The actual page seems to come a lil front than the background. Which is good or I should check my eyes ! :-)

and where is the nimbu in the nimbupani site. somehow i am missing it !

Deepak: Will try to do that :P

Sumesh, Kribs: Thank You!

Very refreshing design, Div. Good work.

Well, retro is most certainly in. Good job, quite interesting(i am really not sure what word to put in there…:)

Well, since you like the retro vertical bars so much, what I suggest is that you provide an alternate background (gray or something!) to those of us who find it a bit dull :).

Testing unapproved posting.

Sat: THanks. Color bars are intentional. Its about style than substance ;-)

Arun: Thanks…I know Mac Rocks! :) Colophon is where you mention about the site than about yourself =)

Balaji, Arjun: Thank Ye!

Siva, Manu: Oh dear…I do so love this design :)

I know that version two was the previous designs.
What about version 1???

The rounded corners look amazing on the site.

One thing that I would rather not see are the color bars - seems like something that comes rite out of color television (Remember the color bars which you get in certain channels??)

Nice work.

change is always better.

Guest's picture

Aww..Where is the cherished yellow and blue?!

THis is also cool though..

The retro feel is kewl. Simple elegant design.Good job.

The previous design with lemon was really fresh look compared to this design. These stripes are very dull to eyes. My 2 cents :)

Nice design.
 Kudos!

The colors on the right are a bit too bright. They hurt my eye.I don’t know whether i’m oversensitive :-).It will be better if u can change it to a more soothing (single) coloour.Madmans website is one example.
And kudos to you for making a standards compliant website
